John and Kathy Cox came to Saltby from the Recruiting Seargeant in Grantham, and since arriving in Saltby they have helped make the Nags Head a central feature of village life.
Over recent years the Nags Head has raised money for a string of good causes, particularly the Air Ambulance, as well as offering constant support to community activities in the village. It has also provided jobs for many of the village's young people.
The Nag's Head is very much at the heart of the community hosting many village events both communal and personal, and it has a number of teams playing in local leagues including crib and Petanque in the Rutland and District Petanque League .
It's reputation extends well beyond the village though and it is a focal point for many other clubs and Societies, brought into the village by its fine ales and wholesome menus.
